The Turbo Chook Powerpoint Presentation

Well all going well I will have my Powerpoint Presentation ready to present my case for the Turbo Chooks entering the AFL competition. That is, of course if Climate Change does not catch up on the Native Hen before the 'powers that pull the punch' allow their debut game.
Research is showing that the Hen regularly gathers around waterholes and that the reason they died out on the mainland over 4700 years ago is because of the drying up of the Australian continent and also because of the dingo.
Now if our waterholes were to dry up and if the Red Fox proves real these issues could be a factor in determining their nomination and subsequent acceptance into the AFL - mind you football issues are a great way of influencing political resolve - this issue could influence a whole nation on climate change action if we play the game right.
Cheers

3.40pm July 13 2007

Well I called my blog Phina's Fancy because I have lots of 'fancies', I would like to complete or translate into tangible realities.
Those most important to me are to finish my stories revolving around some of Tasmania's wildlife. I hope to illustrate the stories myself so I have one which is nearly finished about the Spotted Handfish, (both written and illustrated) another titled Possum Power (written only and about to be illustrated) and now I have the encouragement because of our Develop Literacy Skills class at Polytechnic Tasmania to look into a story I wish to develop about the cute Tasmanian Native Hen (alias Turbo Chooks) and why a Tasmanian AFL Team should be called the same Turbo Chooks. Can you imagine them playing the Sydney Swans - I can hear the commentary already and what too, if they played in the conditions last weekend in Launceston when Hawks and Kangas played. (OMG!)
Now this encouragement is not about the reading and writing literacy but the opportunity to share the journey in a blog and to be receiving comments from followers as I go. Thanks Leonie for introducing me to blogging.
Cheers for now

Beginning July

Hi there all. I had to try again to set up my blog. Had to get past the fact that it could be that easy and that last effort did not translate into a good records management regime. I lost my note with the URL so have created another site with a new title.
